Don't Fix What Isn't Broken

Have you ever heard the saying," if it ain't broke don't fix it"? It seems that Ozimals hasn't thought things through when it comes to just that. The new updater will check the sim performance and then the updater will tell you if it thinks it is safe to run the update. Problem, if you have alot of bunnies the updater will not work, you need to take it someplace else and set down your rabbits 10 at a time. I don't know about you but I have ALOT of bunnies, and moving them ten at a time update them and put them back and do that over and over 20 times until they are all updated.

Oh Wait! We are supposed to be happy beause we are going to save tonnes of money over the next 13 days not having to buy food. But if you are a large breeder you will need to pay money to find land to update all your bunnies. You will need to take a large amount of time going back and forth. Wait now, don't they say time is money? Right they do. So all the time I spend carting back and forth all my bunnies I am not pairing them up, tending them setting them up for sales, advertising on the different channels selling your bunnies. So yes you save money not paying Ozimals for food, but you loose money and time using this new version of an updater.

Am I being overly "bitchy" about this issue, after all they are giving me free food, everyone free food. What they are not giving me is a properly working product the first time around. Yes it will hurt them for 13 days to have free food, but really alot of peopl will take that "saved" money and get love potions and aphrodisiac food and boosters, after all they would have spent the money any ways right? That my friends is called smart marketing. Give your customers a "freebie" that keeps them hooked on your product and makes them feel they have extras to spend on now.

Someone in Ozimals is just a good marketer, too bad they didn't create the product they promised the first time. After all this how many people belive this is the last updater we are going to have with 1.3fracked up 6??

Ozimals Appologizes to its customers and Offers Free Food

Update 1.3f6 is now out, and it has fixed a few more of the major complaints people have had with this update. They have brought down the percentage rate for strawberry elites after the huge customer demand to stop flooding the market with them. People want to actually SEE the new furs and shades and right now they do not want to see tonnes of these strawberry bunnies.

The new totem checks sim performance and so far has been nothing but a pain in the side for myself and my family of bunny breeders. We are on a class 5 sim and several of us have had our totems tell us to go somewhere else to update. Ummm we have hundreds of rabbits, that is just not something any of us really want to do.

What Ozimals has done as a part of their appology to their customer base is to offer free food that will feed any bunny on any level that they are on. This free food will last until Wed 14 of July, after that it will disapear. Since food is a major part of what makes their money I do see this as a major appology from Ozimals to their customers.

I hope with a very update tired customer base this will be enough to keep people with Ozimals as all sorts of new breedables come to the market.

Here There Be Dragons

I have to say the moment these were pointed out to me I was in love, I wanted them at first sight and really who wouldn't when you hear the words breedable dragons. These amazing creatures are still in closed beta but I was lucky enough to convince one of the creators to come down to the Country Fair last auction and do a public Q&A with folks this past Tuesday. As soon as people saw them there was a flurry of questions the biggest one being how to get them. Well right now you can sign up for the forums and this will register your avatar as eligable to buy a starter set with a Queen bronze when they come out, tentatively in 3 weeks. The creators do not want to rush this product and have the problems of updating every day like an Ozimals creation. Okay it seems that this is going to keep me up most of the night, bringing all these new combinations to you with the beautiful little babies being kindled all over SL. I am glad I decided to order some take out, I barely have time to breath let alone cook as all these new bunnies keep arriving.

Nothing says customer service like Micro Petz Pigs

With a lot of thought we have decided to make the duration of special diets longer. Instead of lasting 10 days we have increased this to last the same time as the others as no extra cost.
Those that have purchased any special dispensers or diets, will be reimbursed. We will get a list of all customers and give the reimbursment by this time tomorrow.

Even I am impressed at how quickly many of my concerns have been met with solutions and open ears to each possible improvement to this cute little piggy that is now open to the public.

I was in on the beta test of these and really liked them from the start. They move nice, low lag, and only 11 prim. They breed and have rare eyes and skins and shades, all the traits you would want in a breedable coming to market.

Once beta was done the home store openned and I was immediately unimpressed with pricing and extras and things that I was not expecting. Well over the last three days I have been talking with the Piggie People and there have been tonnes of changes that have me impressed.

The biggest ones being the changes in pricing to match or even beat Ozimals bunnies. The special food lasts for the full 30 days we bunny folks were use to getting before the latest round of updates that has made the highest priced food last only 10 days.

Propain and I talked and I pointed out the folly of the Ozimals folks charging a rate of 2250L a month to feed one bunny no matter how special it was. Well with the pigs it is much more reasonable and the Special food lasts you a whole month not just 10 days.

Give these little oinkers a try, I think you will become enamoured of their little oinks in your barn.

She's got Sunshine When it Rains

Yes here we go another shade update, SUNLIGHT and what a lovely yellow glow it is. This little mini rex red just glows like a little angel with this lovely new shade. She was bred by none other then the amazing Poison Tigerfish, well known for her lovely perfect Argents and SilverFoxes, can't wait to see what she will do next.

IT GLOWS!! Blue? Welcome to a Strawberry Elite with Moonglow

It is certainly one heck of a busy day in the SL breedables world. With the new release bunnies from Ozimals now having their first run of nests we are starting to see all sorts of amazing things. Let me introduce you to Moonlight Shade on a Strawberry Elite, I like the blue glow on the white fur and hope to introduce that glow into my own Hotot lines can we say YUM!

This little beauty was bred by Ran Garrigus and is hiding a holland lop black white under that strawberry coating:D

New Himilayan Fur Uncovered - Opal

Today I was lucky enough to be able to catch a peek at one of the new fur colours for the Himilayans and it is beautiful. This little girl was bred by tommie faromet from the 1.3 warren packs.

What to Do first thing in the Morning - Update Again

With having so many rabbits I am still doing updates to 1.3Fracked5 since I wasn't ready to update again until all the glitches were worked out. I had no choice though my rabbits stopped eating and some I have lost to hibernation again already. *sigh*

Had to update the piggies again this morning,, and again Brighton promises this update makes the piggies perfect. I am getting really tired of hearing that line over and over.

The dragons are down on their rock strutting around and they seem to be doing okay so far, heck they are darn cute.

Welcome To Lady Pan's

Well it is now almost 1am and I am still online waiting for the hatching of the latest closed beta breedable that I have been lucky enough to be introduced to. The family and I are all gathered around the rock ledge waiting to our first set of breedable dragons to be born. Yes Dragons! I promise once I have had some sleep to update you with more details on these amazing creatures.

Right now I want to welcome you all to my new blog site that I have finally gotten around to creating so that folks can follow my adventures through SL in the Breedable Pets adventures.

Who am I? I am Lady Pan, crazy Canadian Auctioneer, animal lover and a strongly opinionated woman who has ventured into the world of SL and breedable animals in SL.

I personally breed a strong line of Hotot Rabbits from Ozimals,, having the distinction of breeding the very first full lop blanc de hotot ever sold by the AMAZING auctioneer Dakota.

I am part of a crazy creative family in SL and we all have our likes and dislikes. Right now I am just finishing a round of beta testing the latest pig pets for SL Micro Pets, and have just had an open house to introduce those lovely dragons.

Well the Dragons are about to hatch and I need to get back in world to watch this lovely occasion.
